Life happens when you are making plans. Have you ever noticed that everything seems to fall out of the sky all at once? I am not sure why this happens but I am sure it is a test of your patience. God may be testing you at this moment to see how you handle things so that he can move you to the next level. Are you next-level ready?
I understand how hard it is sometimes. We had quite a day last year. We were driving back from Kentucky and in the middle of the trip I wasn’t paying attention and ended up an hour out of our way. I wasn’t too thrilled abut that but I could only blame myself on that.
Then we get home and go to turn our main computer on and nothing happens. It goes completely out! I am like “NO!” This just can’t be happening. Then a few other things I find out aren’t good. I had to ask God is this some kind of test? If it is I am not sure how I am handling it as this is just not happening. There was a ton of stuff on the main computer I didn’t have access to and I NEEDED it. I guess God is let me know I really didn’t need what’s on it.
Now we had to buy another computer and get it set up like we had our old computer. If this is a test, it is a good one as we are doing our best not to just shut down. The good thing through all of that was Sandy and I were together and we had our lil’ son. We are a family and that is all that matters.
Yes sometimes things are hard but no one ever said life would be easy and in reality you do not want your life to be easy. You can only grow when things are tough. When everything is working like it is supposed to be then you just cruise through life during those times. Yes you enjoy those times but those are the times that can cripple you if you aren’t careful.
Those times are the times where you set your life in cruise control and let life happen to you. We can’t just allow life to happen, we have to go out and make life happen or we will end up in places we didn’t want to go.
Did we make it through that blunder? Of course we did because we have an awesome God. When I think of our small problems then look at others who have real problems, I sometimes then feel guilty for even thinking like I do. Some people don’t have food on the table. We do. Some people don’t have love in their life, we do. Some people have no idea where they will sleep tonight, we do. Some people have no idea where their future is, we do. Our future is in Christ. Some people don’t know our awesome Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we do!
After I think about some of the real problems in this world, it puts things in perspective. I see life differently. Yes we all have our share of problems but it could always be worse. As long as we have hope and we believe in Jesus Christ then it doesn’t matter when life happens because through Christ we make life happen.
God never promised that he would take our problems away but he did promise that he would be right at our side through our problems. With a God like that we can’t go wrong if we just grab a hold of him and run with him.
God said a person with no Vision shall perish. I get what he means. If you have no hope in the future there is no power in the present. Many people give up in life because they feel hopeless. When God brings Vision into your life you can’t feel hopeless.
Ask God to bring Vision back into your life. Ask him to give you a passion for where he is leading you even through the struggles. Ask God to help you through your test. Ask him to give you the strength and courage to fight even when you feel like life can’t just go on. It is never the end until the day you pass on to Heaven. As long as you are here, God has great plans for you. Your struggles may make you take a detour in life but that doesn’t change where God is leading you.
