What really is the meaning of life? I don’t know about you but I want to do something that not only touches lives before I die but also that out lives me. I don’t want to just live an average life where you just go to work, do what society says you are supposed to do and just live life in quiet desperation.
There really has to be more to life than living that way but most people live their life in such a manner. Why do they live like that? Why do they not live out what God called them to do? Do they not realize that life is to be lived out in a manner that means something?
So what does life mean to you? This is really a tough one to answer because the answer will be different for different people. To me it is to live the life that God called me to live. It is that plain and simple.
Are you living the life God called you to live? If you say yes then are you sure? If you said no then why not? I would have to guess that most people would answer that question as no they aren’t.
What are you afraid of? What is stopping you? Do you realize that we only have one life? Do you realize that unless we live it for Christ and help others see that then nothing really matters? What are you doing right now that will outlive you? Being able to help others see more than they see currently is one of my passions. I love to help people move to the next level. Its a part of my purpose.
I hope and pray that the day the Lord takes me home that I can honestly see my life as making a difference in peoples’ lives. Do I have to make a difference in millions of lives? Of course not even though that would be awesome but even a few makes all the difference because it makes a difference for them. Don’t let the image of millions to distract you because it is all about touching lives one person at a time!
So what are you doing right now that is making a difference? You may not realize it but you can even make a difference at your work if you are using that as a vehicle to talk about God. No matter what you have to do, if you use those moments to talk about God, it can change lives. Find people that you can pour into. Maybe you start by pouring your life experiences into them then as they grow they will want to hear more about God because they will see that your life was shaped by God and they will want what you have!
Also, when you are living your life, if you live it in such a way where people notice it then you are changing lives because of your example. I know I preach on here but I hope that my wife and I live in such a way in our everyday lives that people come closer to God because of knowing us.
You may be the only person of God that someone knows so you have to live your life in such a way that honors God. Are you doing that? Are you living the bible or just preaching it? Many people will see right through you if you are only preaching without living. We already have enough of them so help us out and not become one of them!
God is ready to use you for his purpose. God can turn your mess into an inspiring message. He can turn your test into an awesome testimony! Your life matters especially to God. God didn’t make any junk! God wants the best for you.
So again I ask what is the meaning of life? I just know that living for God in everything I do is all that matters. If we do that then we will live a life that really matters and that life will outlive us.
Ask God to help you see the meaning of life. Ask him to give you the wisdom to live the life that he called you to not just the life you choose to live. Ask him to give you the courage to stay on fire for him for the rest of your life.
