WOW is all I can say. Right now I am writing my story out for my book and I am at 38,000 words in only 14 days. My wife is also working on editing some of the book as I write so she tells me that she is caught up in my life story even though she knows it already.
This has been an emotional roller-coaster as I am writing because I am having to bring back old memories of my days that I was drinking and everything. I am having to bring up past relationships and how I destroyed my first marriage because of addictions.
When I started this process I never thought I would write this much this fast but it is coming together and I am enjoying this process. I know that when I write my second book the words won’t come this easy. They only come this easy because I know my story so it makes writing that much easier. All I have to do is remember what I went through and the things I have done.
I started my story when I was young to show some points that I believe helped create my addictions. I am not placing blame on anything or anyone except me but there have been things that happened in my past that opened me up enough to allow my mind to go the wrong way and the wrong way it did go. 19 years of addictions to get sober 8 years ago.
My goal for writing right now is 50,000 words in less than 30 days. I know I will hot that based on where I am at right now. Right now in my story I am up to the honeymoon of Sandy and I so we have been married for over 13 years so I may hit 60,000 words instead of 50,000 words with my story which was the goal.
Once I have written the story fully out then my goal will be to come up with an outline of the book and start placing parts of my story where it needs to go. The story part will be the easiest because all I have to do is just write what I remember. Remembering everything is tough but I am remembering a lot. Sandy told me that I did not live a boring life. That part I do know. I lived an unexpected life that is for sure.

My passion is to see people live to their potential and especially for marriages to grow to their potential but that can’t happen when your past is holding you back just like mine did for so many years. I don’t care what you have gone through, we all have some kind of addiction in the past. Most people may not believe that but I believe once they read my story it may wake a sleeping giant in people to realize they too better be careful with the road they are on!
