Where do I even start here? This is a tough one because this is where we are. There are several things in our marriage and lives for which we feel God is giving us a vision, and it absolutely scares us. We know this is from God because only He could bring a vision like this to us. If your vision doesn’t scare you, then it’s not worthy of being called God’s vision. God is going to do things through you that will leave people saying, “It had to be God to make that happen!”
We have known this vision for many years now, but we are just now getting it off the ground. Keep in mind that God’s vision doesn’t always come to pass quickly. Many times, He has to prune you where you are so that He can take you to a new level. You have to do the now to get to the next!
What do you do when it scares you? What happens when others dismiss your vision? One thing you have to be careful of is who you share your vision with. Not everyone has your best interests at heart, and even well-intentioned people may simply not understand.
There have been times in our lives when we’ve shared how we feel something is from God, only to hear responses like, “You better be careful,” or “Don’t get your hopes up,” or even “Who do you think you are?” We’ve experienced it all, which has made us cautious about what we share. We want people to realize that sometimes, even if you are well-intentioned, if you put down someone’s vision, you are 100% wrong!
Think about this: what if the vision your friend or relative has is truly from God, and you talk them out of it? Would you want that on your shoulders? I know I wouldn’t. Only time will tell if they have what it takes to make it all happen. I believe that if the vision comes from God, no matter how big it is, He will make a way. I love what a pastor said at one of our past services: “Where the vision of God is leading, the provision of God is there!”
So, what do we do once we feel this is where God is leading? JUMP! That’s right, I said jump and ask questions later. I’d rather jump toward God’s vision and make some mistakes than ask all kinds of questions and never start. God will make the way. It doesn’t matter whether you have the money or resources; He will provide them as needed. You have to start and move forward. Without that, God won’t do much. He will wait patiently for you to act on what He has said. Once He knows that you trust Him and have faith, He will start moving obstacles out of your way.
Sometimes, He may have you break through barriers; other times, the barriers will simply be moved. But either way, if God gives you a vision, He will lead you to the right resources to make it happen. A lot of time needs to be spent in prayer with God. He needs to speak through you so that He can guide you. Again, be careful who you tell. People can significantly influence whether someone pursues the vision God has given them.
Stay in God’s Word as much as you can while you embark on this journey He is leading you on. There will be many times you wonder if it’s even worth it, but remember that nothing has ever been accomplished without a fair share of defeat and struggles. Every big vision must face its share of attacks, and yours will be no different.
If you haven’t done much with your life yet but feel that God is calling you to a big vision, you need to be especially careful. The attacks will come hard from those closest to you. They may make valid points, asking, “Why do you think God would call you?” or “What makes you so special when you haven’t done anything yet? You don’t have the money or resources to do that! That has never been done before!”
Most of what is said will be well-intentioned, but God says GO ANYWAY, and that’s all that matters. Look all through the Bible—every person God used was someone the world deemed unworthy, but God is God! He will always use the insignificant to accomplish significant things in life.
Do you know why He does that? Because when that happens, He alone gets the glory. Imagine someone groomed all their life to do a specific thing; once they succeed, most people will say, “We always knew he would do it,” and many won’t credit God for it.
Now, imagine someone considered a failure accomplishing something great. How can people say, “We knew he could do it”? The only answer is that God had to intervene in their life to guide them to that vision, and it can ONLY be from God.
That’s why, no matter who you are, if God calls, you jump—no matter how much it scares you. In fact, the more it scares you, the closer to God you’ll have to lean, and the more glory He will receive from it.
So, what if God hasn’t given you a vision yet for your life and marriage? Then tell God you are ready, and show Him by creating an environment that draws Him to you because He can trust you. Allow Him to work miracles in your life and heart. Give Him the freedom to guide you where He wants you to go.
Once you do that, God will bring things into your life that, when you look back, you’ll say, “WOW, that had to be God,” even in the small moments!
Ask God to give you the courage to follow His vision. Ask Him for discernment about whom to share your vision with and what actions to take right now. Ask Him for patience when things don’t seem to be working with the vision.

My vision was was of my future I can’t tell if its from Satan or god himself. It was about me not accepting Jesus and being judged on judgment day. And him saying he tried to help me but I refused to change? I am lost. Is it because I don’t follow the commandments!?
I am not sure on that. All I can tell you is that NOW is the time to get right with God because we never know when we will take our last breath. If you are right with him then you will have nothing to worry about. God Bless
I’ve had a vision over 22 years. although I have tried to accomplish it and have walked out in faith at least 3 times, doors slammed in my face, all kinds of trouble. now 27 years later. no money health just starting to improve. what do I do and was it from GOd. I’ve seen visions of the same thing for years.
